Requirements
- A teaching certificate or a relevant degreeEducation, math or a related field. Current or retired classroom teachers are welcome.
- Two or more years working with childrenClassroom, tutoring, special education or after-school programs all count.
- Comfort with grades 2 to 5 mathFrom place value and math facts through fractions and decimals.
- Reliable and local, or set up for onlineIn-home and library sessions are in the Dickinson area. Online tutors can be anywhere in Texas.

Simple, transparent pricing
You set your hourly rate. Parents pay that rate when they book. Mighty Minds keeps a 20% platform fee from each paid session, and the rest is deposited to your bank account every week.
- No monthly feesYou only pay when you earn. If a session doesn't happen, there's no fee.
- Card processing includedPayment processing comes out of our share, not yours.
- One-time screening fee: $35Covers your background check. It's refunded after your 10th paid session.

Am I an employee of Mighty Minds?
No. Tutors work as independent contractors. You choose your rate, hours and which families you take on.
How do I get paid?
Parents pay online when they book. After each session is marked complete, your share is deposited to your bank account in the next weekly payout.
Can I keep my own students?
Yes. Families you already work with stay yours. The platform fee applies only to families who find you through Mighty Minds.
What if a family cancels?
Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged in full, and you're paid as if the session happened.
